| Thank you to everyone who entered the Fall 2011 Mobile Apps Challenge! The winners will be announced on this website later this month. |
Eligibility
Current U-M students, faculty, and staff are eligible to participate, including temporary employees. Teams comprised of eligible members are encouraged; although only one person per team may submit the application.
Prizes
Win a laptop, mobile device, or other cool prizes — up to $1,500 in prizes will be awarded to the grand prize winner!
Contest Guidelines
Your entry needs to include a 3 minute max video that demonstrates a working prototype of your app. Your app does not have to be ready for release. The video should showcase how the main functionality works, with an emphasis on its creativity, usability, and utility.
You may submit as many apps as you choose for iOS (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch), Android, Windows Phone 7, or other mobile Web apps. A panel of experts from U-M, Apple and Google will judge your app based on creativity, usability, and utility. Suggested categories for apps are:
- Health, Fitness, Medical
- Social, Lifestyle
- Entertainment, News
- Productivity, Tools
- Travel, Local
- Education, Reference
- Music, Audio
Submit Your Application – Due December 4, 2011
The deadline has passed. We are no longer accepting applications.
